Our priority is to ensure that our school remains a safe place for children, staff and visitors. All staff and visitors have a duty of care towards the welfare and safety of the children and adults in the school; this is called Safeguarding. Safeguarding means:

Action is taken to ensure the best outcomes for all children

During holiday or out of hours, if you have any worries about a child's safety or welfare, in the first ring Rochdale Early Help and Safeguarding hub on 0300 303 0440, out of hours please ring 0300 303 8875.
In addition, you can call the NSPCC Child Protection helpline on 0808 800 5000 to discuss your concerns, or ask for advice by email.
The NSPCC also provide a helpline services for children themselves who are looking for someone to talk to (Childline 0800 1111).
Finally, if you think a child is at risk of immediate harm, please contact the police by calling 999.
All staff at Raise Rochdale Pupil Referral Service read KCSiE Part 1 annually. DSL/DDSL's undertake advanced safeguarding training every two years with regular updates. Members of our Management Committee receive safeguarding training. All staff complete annual online safety and prevent training, with additional specialist sessions where needed.
