What is the Prevent Duty?
Aims to stop people being drawn into terrorism/extremism.

Our Approach at RAISE
Understanding Local Risk
Working with Rochdale LA Prevent team, police, and safeguarding partners.
Staff Training
All staff receive regular training; DSL/DDSL receive deeper Prevent‑specific training.
Curriculum & Education
Critical thinking, respectful relationships, digital literacy, challenging misinformation, and checks on visitors/online content.
Reporting Concerns
Contact DSL/DDSL immediately with any worries about extremist views or radicalisation.
Referral Pathway
Concern raised → assessed by DSL
Consult Prevent Education Officer / LA Prevent Lead if needed
Refer to Channel where appropriate (supportive, not part of criminal justice)
